A Work in Progress

If you were to guess the subject of this post after reading only the title, you'd likely assume that it's going to be about my ongoing efforts to become a quality writer. After all, "A Work in Progress" could very well be an apt description of a novel or story that I'm working on.

You'd be wrong if that's your guess.

I suppose the title could also be referring to my aforementioned weight-loss efforts. If you recall, I had a New Year's Resolution to lose 30 pounds in 2010. I could be opting to provide an update on my ascension toward that goal, calling my efforts "A Work in Progress."

Sadly, you'd be wrong if that was your guess. In fact, if I were to accurately title a post about my weight-loss efforts, it would probably be called "A Work in Regress" or "A Huge, Embarrassing Failure." That last one would be a double entendre -- applying both to my goals and to my physical appearance.

But, I digress.

No, what I'm referring to today is the look of the blog. For those that don't know or recall, I've been and sporadic blogger for nearly seven years now. One thing that's always frustrated me about Blogger was the lack of customization that's allowed on the standard templates. Apparently that changed a few months back with some new programs and options. I'm not a paid advertiser for Google or Blogger, so if you don't know about the changes, look it on your own time. I'll just say that they're interesting and they've led me to play with the look a little bit.

So, let me know what you think. I'm still working out some kinks, but I think I'm getting closer to a look I can live with, at least until I get bored and need to mix it up again.
