Archie is 8 months old

Archie hit the 8-month mark yesterday.  According to our semi-scientific* measurement, he weighs 22 pounds today.  He is comfortably wearing 12-month-old clothes, and I'm starting to worry that the 18-month-old clothes that I bought him while with my family at the Carter's and OshKosh outlets in Boise in September were a bad investment, because they're all summer clothes...  But I digress.

Archie is changing a lot and if it's possible, getting even cuter.  He is really starting to develop a personality, and his disposition is just as sweet as ever.  Here are a couple of pics so you'll see what I mean.

Nanny Betty asked if she could take Archie to get a winter hat...

...and this is what she chose.  Adorably hilarious.
Right before Christmas, we ran into a little problem with little baby tub we had been using to bathe Archie: either Archie could fit in it or water could fit in it, but not really both.  So he graduated to the big pink tub.

He has all kinds of fun in the bathtub.  Forgive the camera angle on the clip below -- I blame Bryan's iPhone.  And also ignore the crying at the very end.  That was a misunderstanding that Archie forgave us for afterward.

Archie has four teeth right now -- the top middle two and the bottom middle two.  I think he has two more on the top ready to come through any day now.  He is not a big fan of showing off the top teeth, but here you can see his bottom teeth.

The other thing Archie does that is hilarious is admiring his hands.  He holds his hands up and inspects them very carefully from all angles.  I haven't managed to capture that on film yet, but stay tuned because it is entertaining like you can't believe.

*"Semi-scientific," in this case, means Bryan held Archie while standing on the scale.

His giggle is adorable. Absolutely adorable! Had me smiling at the computer.

I'm thinking the 18 month coat I bought Millie for next winter was a bad idea. Perhaps by summer 2013 the little runt will fit in it. Should have stuck with the 12 month! Archie is chubby delicious, where my baby is not!

He's so fluffy and cute! I could just die...

And, I am also always buying clothing one or two seasons ahead (hellooooo OshKosh outlet in town) and oftentimes find myself in the same predicament...

Great post...from the hat right down to the giggle!

I must admit, I will miss Bryan's posts on here, though.
